Job Description

Join our team!As a Payroll Specialist at Elior youll be part of a small friendly team, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for approximately 9,000 colleagues.Working within the team you will help with a range of duties including uploading of timesheets, processing of SSP, SMP, SPPB, and Third parties, generating BACS files expenses, and integrating labor costs into the accounts system. There will also be dealingwith HMRC queries, auto-enrolment pensions processing, and term time pay calculations.What youll be doing...Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing assigned payrolls on a weekly/monthly basis accurately
  • Ensure timely payments to third parties
  • Responsible for working alongside the payroll team to keep the mailboxes up to date
  • Daily Report checking
  • Hierarchy changes
  • Post Requests - Responsible for the creation of new job post for the business and ensuring these are placed into the hierarchy
  • Pensions Administration
  • Auto-enrolment scheme payment processing, current schemes are Nest / Aviva ensuring all submissions are balanced, paid processed, and journalled in time with relevant deadlines
  • Processing pensions opt outs/refunds
  • HMRC Queries
  • Integrating labor costs into the accounts system.
  • Handling payroll queries via the team inbox and telephone
  • Support the wider team & work collaboratively, stepping in where necessary, to ensure best-in-class service to our colleagues and managers
  • Internal system knowledge to assist colleagues using the online portal system (training will be provided)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday - 8am-4:30pm - Hybrid workingWhat can you bringIn this role:
  • Payroll experience is essential
  • Proven success at delivering results, meticulous in nature
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of payroll calculations such as tax and NI, statutory payments
  • Up to date knowledge of legislation relating to payroll
  • Highly organised with excellent, demonstrable Microsoft Office skills
  • Auto Enrolment pensions knowledge
