Job Description

Be part of a team where you can make a direct impact on our purpose – IT that changes lives.The Global Lead for the Integration function will be responsible for running & developing the integration platforms and associated capabilities that support the AstraZeneca application estate, ensuring effective systems and service integration of new solutions into that estate, collaborating across the business and leading AstraZeneca’s strategy and implementation of an API-led integration approach.The Integration & API team is truly global with circa 100 resources across US, UK, India & Mexico, who will deliver world class capability and use standard methodologies to ensure applications and data are integrated into the AZ landscape in an effective manner. The function will help formulate and underpin the Information Integration Strategy in conjunction with Customer Facing technology teams, Data Enablement Function and Enterprise Architecture Function.With an ambitious approach, we’re looking for a strong leader that will work highly collaboratively, develop and deliver the API strategy - whilst upholding the AZ values and ensuring a diverse and inclusive culture. The Role As Global Lead Integration & APIs you will report into VP Software Shared Services with key stakeholders across the customer facing technology functions. The role can be based in US, Gaithersburg or UK MacclesfieldYou will be accountable for:

  • Delivering the ongoing service as well as systems design, development and testing across the application life cycle.
  • Developing the strategy for APIs, Application & Data Integration and the underlying capabilities that AZ will need in the future
  • Driving the development and execution of transformation and simplification programs to modernize and dramatically simplify the interface landscape.
  • Ensuring the team, tools and capabilities are built & developed to deliver the optimal services aligned to the Service Catalogue and global delivery of services from our Global technology Centres in Chennai & Guadalajara.
  • GxP and SOX compliance, quality and efficiency of Integration Platform services and for the engagement of an effective service from internal and third party service providers
    • In this role you will be encouraged to proactively consult and deliver against customer expectations through both Project and Change level governance along with Service Levels communications and deployment of effective capacity, availability, investment, incident, problem and change management techniques and processes.Importantly you will drive the definition of the underpinning integration architecture including the API management platform for the delivery of information efficiency and code re-use.Skills & Experience
  • Experience leading large globally distributed technical teams
  • In-depth experience with Application & Data Integration solutions and platforms (e.g. Mulesoft, Talend, Globalscape, SnapLogic, Apigee etc.)
  • Experience leading Integration workstreams in large global IT programs
  • Experience in and knowledge of API-led integration approaches
  • Leadership of API-led integration transformation programs and establishing Centres for API Enablement desirable
  • Experience in delivering 24X7, ITIL-based services for Integration Platforms and Solutions globally
