Job Description

The Domestic Assistant is part of the care team and as such works with other staff and maintains a clean and safe environment for all Service Users and staff.Main duties:

• Promote the Company Mission Statement at all times.
• Ensure the Homes furniture, furnishings and fittings are sufficiently clean.
• Ensure all surfaces of floors, walls and ceilings are sufficiently clean.
• Clean carpets when necessary.
• Empty wastebaskets and yellow/black bins daily ensuring that waste is disposed of safely in line with the requirements.
• Clean all internal windows monthly.
• Clean all bedrooms thoroughly once a week on a rota basis. Ensure that the communal areas are cleaned daily.
• Ensure all sinks, en-suites, bathrooms and toilets are cleaned daily.
• Chemicals must be stored in line with the COSHH requirements.
• Re-stock paper products and dispensers.

Experience

• Able to demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectivelyat all levels
• Genuine interest in working in a care environment.

Hope Green Residential Home Hope Green is located on the edge of the village of Poynton and is conveniently located close to junction 1 of the M60 motorway. Local shops, library, hairdressers, surgery, pharmacy and public house are all within walking distance. Hope Green ResidentialHome was originally built in the late 18th century and has been used as a care home since 1990. The home has been extended and refurbished to provide accommodation for 52 residents in luxury surroundings. All rooms are fully carpeted and decorated to a highstandard and have a nurse call system, fire detection and bedroom furniture. Carers encourage residents to bring small items of furniture to personalise their room. Hope Green now boasts three lounge areas, three dining rooms, a hairdressing salon and fullassisted bathrooms. Residents can enjoy the well maintained garden with its large secluded patio and separate sun lounge. Within the extension, residents can enjoy the garden with bi-folding doors, bringing the outside in.
