Job Description

Payroll AssistantLymm Cheshire- Office BasedImmediate Start12 Month ContractClient DetailsAn excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading service sector business based in Luxury offices in Lymm Cheshire due to continued growth and expansion. This company are a highly sought after organisation to work for with an excellent reputation and highlevels of staff retention.DescriptionThe Payroll Assistant role is a 12 month contract and will be office based in Lymm. Reporting to the Payroll Manager Key responsibilities will include:To support the Payroll team in arranging the payment of staff salaries through the computerised payroll system. This will involve the collation and input of all relevant information for the monthly payroll (including new starters, leavers, benefits, contractchanges, sickness absence payments, maternity and paternity pay)

  • To support the Payroll team in administering the Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Paternity Pay schemes
  • To ensure manual and computerised records are accurate
  • Support the payroll team in ensuring that the company monthly pension submission is completed on time and accurately
  • Support the payroll team in ensuring that PAYE and other payments are made on time
  • Assist with any new payrolls through acquisition and through the TUPE process
  • Ensure that National Minimum Wage and other regulations are adhered to
  • Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role
ProfileIn order to apply for the role you should:
  • Have previous Payroll Administration experience ideally with knowledge of Manual calculations
  • Be able to commute to Lymm office site in Cheshire
  • Be able to consider a 12 month contract initially
