Job Description

Shift Manager Lutterworth Manager £30,000- £35,000 4on 4 off 1pm-1am Gi Group are recruiting for an exciting role based in Magna Park. This role will be for an experienced Shift Manager to support Operations Manager and run a huge operation and support team that is brand new and looking to take on a challenging and excitingWarehouse. Whats on offer:* £30,000- £35,000 * 4 on /4off 1:00pm- 1:00am shift * 20 holidays + bank holiday * Company Pension * Other benefits Due to our continued growth on this site, we are now looking to recruit a Shift Manager working on a 4 on 4 off evening rota. The successful candidates should have experience of working in a fast-paced environment. The main purpose of the role is to manageeffective delivery of the relevant shift, ensuring targets and budgets are met in accordance with Company and customer requirements. * Promote, drive and manage a safety culture across the team * Provide leadership and direction to FLMs/Colleagues in all aspects of the warehouse operation. * Manage costs, which include ownership of productivity and work study, in line with set targets. * Ensure the Health, Safety of all colleagues, in accordance with current legislation and Company policies and procedures * Ensure customer deadlines are exceeded and meet all agreed relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and SLAs * Support continuous improvement, leading and participating in working parties to involve and en gage staff, with an aim to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Have full involvement in their implementation and success * Ensure all tasks are delegated appropriately and in the most efficient manner by coordinating between office and warehouse * Assist the Operations Managers to ensure that the targets and budgets are met in accordance with Company policies and procedures * Ensure detailed records of how time is spent on tasks and analyse performance to create action plans to correct any underperformance * Ensure correct daily staffing levels are sufficient to meet operational requirements * Liaise with external agencies and ensure legal compliance of Agency Worker Regulations * Undertake compliance reporting on all aspects of legislative, procedural and audit requirements * To oversee general housekeeping requirements of the warehouse, ensuring high standards of hygiene and orderliness * Communicates to shift / team on daily tasks, changes to working procedures, H&S, Audit etc. * Completes shift handovers accurately with oncoming Manager. * Updates team leaders on required targets / rates, and accuracy checks, providing training and feedback, acting on poor performance where required * Ensure there is an appropriate level of multi-skilled colleagues to perform tasks in an effective and efficient manner, completing training records to the required standard * Develops others to support the site talent and succession plan * Demonstrates Geodis Values and ensures self and all colleagues adhere to the Company Code of Co nduct * Ensures compliance to all HR Policies & Procedures * Maintains good working relations with Colleague Representatives; promotes Engagement & Charity Initiatives * To carry out any other duties as directed by a member of the senior management teamGi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited group of companies includes Gi Recruitment Limited, Draefern Limited, Gi Group Recruitment Ltd, INTOO (UK) Limited, Marks Sattin (UK) Limited, TACK TMI UK Limited and Grafton Professional Staffing Limited.
