Job Description

Robert Walters is working with a leading logistics company for the recruitment of an Operations Manager to join their MRO Lutterworth site.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations, overseeing Team Leaders for hands-on tasks.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and reporting to Senior Operations Manager.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor raw material and finished goods flow using M3.
  • Efficiently use space and mechanical handling equipment, meeting quality, budgetary, and environmental targets.
  • Understand company policies and vision, aligning warehouse contributions.
  • Coordinate automated systems and respond to customer communication.
  • Plan future capacity requirements and organise staff recruitment and training.
  • Motivate and organise teamwork, ensuring productivity targets are met.
  • Produce regular reports and statistics.
  • Brief FLMs daily, maintain health and safety standards, and oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • Scope and define performance improvement projects.
  • Actively participate in the continual review and execution of Operational SC strategy.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proactive, collaborative, and highly participating approach required.
  • 2+ years relevant Experience in either Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager positions.
  • Focus on delivering short, medium, and long-term operational and supply chain efficiency benefits.
  • Work closely and cross-functionally daily to develop a continuous improvement methodology and culture.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of systems used within the company and challenge them as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Lead multi-disciplined teams to achieve workable solutions.
