Job Description

Senior Electrical Design Engineer (EDS Engineer) Lutterworth or Northampton Competitive SalaryOur client, a well established and dynamic engineering and manufacturing company are looking to expand!Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the electrical system/subsystem design
  • Supporting generation of requirements from the customer’s brief
  • Generation of the circuit design and electrical schematics
  • Production of manufacturing drawings for wiring harnesses
  • Supporting component selection and sourcing and supporting product build
  • Design verification and validation
  • BOM generation and management
The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Educated to degree level in electrical engineering
  • Experience in designing automotive/motorsport/transport electrical systems
  • Competent in generating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and 3D or 2D CAD packages
  • Knowledge of and experience of working to automotive engineering standards and processes
  • Experience of designing both HV and LV systems, ideally across both static enclosure-based systems and motive applications including component specification and selection
