Job Description

Atkinson Moss are pleased to be supporting their Lowestoft based client in their search for a motivated researcher to join our specialist Market Research Team. You will take responsibility for a key topic area, providing their global customer base with detailedproject updates, forecasts, and market reports. You will also support our Market Consulting Team with key insights, research, and analysis.My client is looking for someone with a technical background who is interested in taking on a reporting and analytical role. Alternatively, you may have business and financial acumen or journalism and a strong interest in renewable energy.You must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of offshore renewable energy policies, project economics and commercial aspects of the offshore energy sector, with a good knowledge of the supply chain and industry developments.Responsibilities

  • Research and analysis of regulatory and policy developments, technology advancements and challenges, cost dynamics, project pipelines, site characteristics, and supply chain trends in the global offshore wind and subsea power cable markets.
  • Active lead in producing quarterly reports and webinars analysing key market trends and dynamics.
  • Numerical analysis, forecasting, modelling, and supply & demand analysis.
  • Data entry and quality control of databases.
  • Work on bespoke consultancy projects.
  • Product and business development to innovate reports, databases and other outputs.
  • Engagement with clients to ensure requests are dealt with efficiently whilst working with other teams and IT to problem solve.
  • Engage with industry by developing a personal network of relationships across the supply chain.
  • Networking and presenting at industry events, and to clients, with opportunity to travel.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree ideally in a technical, numeric, or business-related discipline, or with strengths in research and writing e.g., journalism. A postgraduate qualification will be well regarded.
  • Keen interest in renewables and the energy transition.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Any experience of the following will be well regarded: Additional language skills, strong numerical skills, statistical knowledge, knowledge of MS Access/SQL, knowledge of Geographical Information Systems.
  • A self-starter with a can-do attitude who takes responsibility for the completeness and quality of their work.
This is a permanent role - working in the office Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)The company also offers an excellent benefit package.
