Job Description

The company has over 100 years experience in the manufacturing of plaster, plasterboard and ceiling solutions.In the role you will be working with Commercial training providers, Schools, Colleges and sub-contractors for career routes into construction.Key Responsibilities:

  • Career support for Plastering and Joinery students - develop a strategy in supporting Plasterers into employment and Joiners into interior systems apprenticeships
  • Help run the 6-week site ready skimming course - work with commercial training providers to ensure high quality training through quality assurance
  • On-site training and support
  • School engagement - work with schools to deliver short practical hands on sessions for interior systems partitioning and plastering
  • Capability development - keep up to date with the latest training programmes used within the academy so as to be able to understand and deliver the full suite of programmes available
  • Continual improvement and experimentation
  • Keep up to date with industry and professional standards so that customers learn the latest thinking, safe working practices are adhered to and the BG brand is protected
We are looking for someone who:
  • Is highly flexible and can adapt their diary to respond to customer needs
  • Thinks ahead and anticipates issues and side steps these
  • Has a safe pair of hands and highly practical and knowledgeable within the Construction industry
  • Has a trade background in plastering, dry lining fixing with possible Joinery related backgrounds
  • Has experience in training delivery, assessing, teaching (preferable)
