Job Description

Job Role: Supervisor / DriverStarting Salary: £14-£15/hrWorking days are Monday to Friday, with optional Saturdays. Start times between 06:00 - 07:00, ending between 15:30-17:30 depending on the work. Typically there are 5 shifts per week and optional overtime is also available.Location: Loughborough (LE11)20 days holiday + bank/public holidaysCompany pension, overtime available, etc.The Role:My Loughborough based client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Supervisor / Driver to manage a team of drivers/operatives whilst also delivering world class service yourself. The core job role will involve heavy lifting and physical work so you mustbe physically healthy. If you are a pro-active problem solver who wants to lead from the front, set a great example and get stuck in with the rest of the team, then this is the role for you.Duties:Your key responsibilities as a Supervisor / Driver include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and work with a team to complete waste collections, removals, house clearances, etc.
  • Load and unload vehicles, categorising waste accordingly
  • Work well as part of a team, supporting other teams when necessary.
  • Organise waste to optimise loads and achieve targets.
  • Keep vehicles clean, tidy and presentable, reporting and booking in any maintenance or damage issues as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and office staff, updating everybody with and issues, updates or changes as necessary.
Skills & Requirements
  • Full clean drivers license with a minimum of 5 years driving experience.
  • No insurance claims from driving in the past 5 years.
  • Experience driving a 3.5t luton van
  • Physical fitness is essential as the job involves a lot of manual labour.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to lead a team.
