Sports Turf Team Leader (Charnwood)Job reference number: RAF0005538Who are we looking forWe are looking for a Sports Turf Team Leader to carry out maintenance throughout the multiple sports surfaces in the Charnwood area. We are looking for someone who is flexible, motivated and strong-willed to join our highly skilled workforce.Who are weAs the UKs top grounds maintenance and landscaping provider, idverde UK offers a broad range of services. From professional open space management to landscape design and build, grounds maintenance, tree surgery, civil engineering, outdoor facilities management,biodiversity management, waterways management and much more.Principal responsibilities

  • Preparing and maintaining sporting facilities to include Bowling/ golf greens, cricket, tennis and football pitch surfaces, to recognise national standards and to the satisfaction of all users
  • Carrying out daily pitch maintenance including mowing, aerating, line marking, chemical application and fertilising.
  • Operating a range of horticultural equipment ensuring all is maintained in accordance with manufacturers and company guidelines.
  • You will help to organise daily work schedules ensuring playing surfaces are prepared to a high standard for play.
  • You will ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures
  • Training will be provided in using ride on mowers together with hand and pedestrian machinery.
  • It is important that you are able to deal with the general public and customers alike.
To be successful you will have a track record within a sporting environment with experience of using machinery and initial set out and maintenance of the sports surfaces listed above. You will have a high level of attention to detail, good organisation skillsand the ability to maintain a high standard of work in a fast-paced environment. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.You will be qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf and hold PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates.Interested Please apply with your CV attached making sure to quote the job reference number.Job reference number: RAF0005538
