Job Description

I am looking to recruit a dedicated Payroll Officer to the Payroll team in Loughborough for a long term contract. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of payroll processes and end to end payroll processing experience.Client DetailsMy client is a reputable not-for-profit institution with a staff base of over 3,000. Well-known for its contribution to education and research, the institution maintains a strong commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive working environment.DescriptionThe Payroll Officer will report directly to Senior Payroll Officer. Duties of the Payroll Officer will include:

  • Process and manage payroll in a timely and accurate manner
  • Handle payroll queries and resolve any discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations
  • Manage employee data and records
  • Prepare payroll reports for management
  • Contribute to payroll system improvements
  • Work closely with the HR department on payroll matters
  • Provide general financial and administrative support as needed
ProfileA successful Payroll Officer should have:
  • End to end Payroll processing experience
  • Experience in a payroll or finance role within the not-for-profit industry
  • Knowledge of payroll software and systems
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Job Offer
