Job Description

Mortgage Underwriter Up to £30,500Hybrid (Loughborough)I am looking for someone to underwrite and process mortgage applications and Provide guidance as appropriate to internal and external customers in a manner to achieve the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction, whilst contributing to continuousimprovement within the mortgage function.Skills and Experience

  • Ideally, hold a mortgage mandate for various secured lending types, including residential, but to let, self-employed, and self-build.
  • Experience in underwriting both intermediary originated and direct business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent telephone skills and manner.
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong decision-making skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Diligent with an analytical mindset.
