SGIS includes brands such as British Gypsum, ISOVER and Celotex.Is this role right for meFirst and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working. For this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Either an engineering or manufacturing-based degree, or an IT-based degree with appropriate experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the leadership and delivery of improvement projects, ideally using digital solutions, across multiple manufacturing sites in a medium-sized or large organisation
  • Advanced use of information systems/applications
  • Well versed in data capture and analytics
  • Management of change processes
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0/Digital within manufacturing operations
  • Has worked in new teams, where direction may change as the team grows
  • Experience in providing service to internal customers from a central role
What will I be doing in the roleThe purpose of this role will be to own all software applications deployed within SGIS Operations (excluding those applications used to control process equipment) and drive forward continuous improvement in the use of those applications.
  • Be the SGIS Operations single point of contact to all software applications suppliers (internal and external)
  • Generate governance for the use of the applications and be responsible the for ensuring that applications are used in accordance with such governance
  • Ensure that all changes associated with the implementation and continuous development of the software applications are managed so as to mitigate risk
  • Be the SGIS Super User for all Operations software applications that are hosted outside of the SGIS industrial networks
  • Be the 2nd level of support for the network of site-based key users for the Infor EAM and IN4.0RM applications
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all Operations software is correctly licensed, developing robust systems to prove licensing for auditing purposes
  • Be responsible for central budgets relating to the roll-out and support of all non-industrial Operations software applications
  • Lead user groups made up of colleagues from SGIS sites, responsible for the continuous improvement the software applications
