As an Estimator, youll have the opportunity to undertake estimates from first principles, mentor junior/traineeestimators, and manage relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers. You will be able to identify opportunities and risks during the tender process, develop tender programs using various software packages, and provide ongoing support to site teamsrelating to estimate and key assumptions. We are looking for someone with experience in highways (drainage & earthworks), water industry, and rail, ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and previous exposure to Microsoft Project. Additionally,you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a full UK licence for travel. We offer an attractive salary package, opportunities for professional growth, and a friendly and supportive team.Responsibilities* Undertake estimates from first principles in accordance with Company procedures.* Identify opportunity and risk during the tender process.* Create tender programmes using MS project, Asta Powerprojects or similar software.* Help develop, mentor, and manage junior/trainee estimators.* Liaise with the tender Bid Manager and Procurement departments.* Oversee tender handover meetings with construction team.* Participate in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) with our Bid/Construction Team and Clients.* Provide ongoing support to site teams relating to estimate and key assumptions.* Subcontractor engagement at tender stage, producing enquiries and assessing returns from supply chain.* Manage relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
