Estimator Loughborough £45,000 - £55,000 + Bonus SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Estimator to join our client based in Loughborough who design and install products into the commercial construction industry. The successful candidate be part of the team thats head up the estimating team by leading, guidingand coaching the estimators for continuous improvement whilst achieving the targets required to meet the budgetary requirements of the business. Key duties/ Responsibilities: Foundation Prepare accurate pricing schedules by measuring from drawings, completing BoQs or pricing schedules Interpret design / systems correct Clearly define scope, specifications and allowances in quote / tender submissions Submit quotations and tenders to deadlines, proactively securing extensions if required Liaising with other departments across the company such commercial for terms, contracts for resourcing and informing sales of extensions Updating systems and following processes Intermediate Interpret client requirements, identifying value engineering, costs of quality and extra overs Ensuring any technical or design led aspects are in accordance with any statutory requirements such as BS EN Review basic forms of contract and commercial / contract terms and qualify the estimate accordingly Advanced Visits sites to prepare estimates from surveys or inspections Work with contract /commercial team to analyse trends and norms for more accurate costing Liaising with suppliers for up to date material prices Liaising with clients for RFIs and TQs as well as building relationships Ensuring effective handover of the project to the Contract team Challenge all individuals associated with the estimating process to drive continuous improvement KPIs Non-conformances below 0.25% in value Values and Qty returned 95% returned on time (including extensions) Adhere to company systems (such as CRM), processes (escalating signs offs) and SEARCH values Subsidiary duties / Responsible The job description is a guide only and in order for your career and the Organisation to develop then it may be discussed with you and be reasonably amended at any time. Experience & Knowledge Commercial work experience Advanced Construction knowledge CRM or ERP experience Experience of using CAD or working to drawings Previous experience as Senior Estimator Skills Excellent communication and organisational skills Highly numeric Able to prioritise and work to deadlines Microsoft suite, specifically excel Aptitude Organised and meticulous Detail orientated Problem-solving Professional, with integrity and discretion Able to coach others Natural leader Qualifications HNC / HND / Bsc in Construction or Engineering related subject BTECH Level 3 in Construction Trade such as joiner or roofer
