Our company mission is to play a significant role in solving the globalplastic problem, and to be world leaders in chemical recycling.The Data Analyst will be joining at an exciting stage in our companys development and will play a key role in furthering our technology by assisting in the analysis and coordination of both laboratory and commercial scale data.This post will be suited to a candidate who advocates sustainability and would enjoy having a meaningful input into an emerging sector.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES You will: Develop automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources. Develop and maintain databases, data systems - reorganising data into a readable format. Performing analysis to assess quality and meaning of data. Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators, to identify and help correct problems. Use statistical tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets, that could be helpful for diagnosis and prediction. Prepare reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data. Take a collaborative approach, working with engineers, operations, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies. Prepare final analysis reports for stakeholders, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends. Always be proactive and propose solutions to different problems that arise. Have good communication skills. Be organised and well-structured with regards to programming and documenting. Undertake other duties as may be reasonably requested and that are commensurate with the nature and grade of the post.Skills Specification: Strong mathematical skills to collect, measure, organise and analyse data. Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, R, MATLAB, Python, C#, C++, HTML, Javascript. Knowledge of data transfer protocols (e.g.: REST, MQTT, OPC UA, etc). Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation (e.g. JMP etc.). Knowledge of data visualisation software like Tableau, Qlik, PowerBi. Problem-solving skills. Accuracy and attention to details. Adept at queries, writing reports and making presentations. Proven working experience in data analysis. Excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to progress with several different tasks simultaneously and deliver to schedule. University degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or relevant experience. An understanding of chemical processes would be advantageous.
