Job Description

Are you someone who is passionate about Customer Service and has an awareness of Credit Control processesAt Saint-Gobain we are looking for a Credit Controller to work in our Finance Shared Service Centre, helping to deliver minimal overdue balances and to proactively chase customer accounts arrears.This Credit Controller will be a part of Award-Winning Accounts Receivable team, which is a CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) accredited department based in East Leake, Leicestershire. You will play a crucial role in deliveringexcellent customer service whilst retrieving overdue balances. Some of what you will do includes taking payments, order releasing and helping create new accounts.The role is working to a hybrid model, so a few days in the office and a few from home. The core hours of work are between 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility, with no weekend or bank holidays worked. Plus, during the Christmas and NewYear break, the office is closed, so an extended break.This is a Maternity Cover position lasting 12 months What were looking for:

  • Experience of working in a customer service environment, ideally within the credit control environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively by email and phone.
  • Strong organisational skills and great attention to detail.
  • A team player and willing to help others in the team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities
What you will be doing:
  • You will ensure overdue debt is managed effectively in accordance with credit policy and procedures.
  • You will support the process of account applications, setting of credit limits for new and existing customer accounts and obtaining reference from external credit rating agencies, customer accounts and other relevant information.
  • Regularly and appropriately review the release of held orders in line with SLAs.
  • Communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with month end closing calendar and provide timely reporting of results to various stakeholders in the SSC and the Local Entities.
