Contracts Manager - Structural SteelworkJob Title: Contracts Manager - Structural SteelworkIndustry Sector: Estimator, Structural Steel Framing Systems, Lightweight Steel Framing, Steel Sector, Steel Beams, Steel Staircases, Balconies, Balustrades, Gates, Fences, Mezzanines, Steel Frames, Steel Fabrication, Steel, House BuilderArea to be covered: NationalOffice location: East MidlandsRemuneration: up to £60,000 + discretionary bonusBenefits: Company car or allowance & comprehensive benefits package The role of the Contracts Manager - Structural Steelwork will involve:

  • Contracts Manager position dealing with structural steelwork for the infrastructure market sector dealing with bridges, gantries, piles, plate girders, steel frames, and steel structures
  • Overall responsibility for a safe and profitable delivery of projects
  • Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks
  • Organising the delivery of all materials and plant that will be needed on site and ensuring they arrive on time
  • Keeping all works moving smoothly and ensuring that project deadlines are adhered to, whilst maintaining project cost plans
  • Support the sales team to produce accurate tender submissions and the bid team with technical expertise
  • Allocate project specific KPIs to company personnel
The ideal applicant will be Project Manager - Structural Steelwork with:
  • Must have Contracts Management experience within the steel fabrication and steel infrastructure industry
  • Strong understanding of various steel infrastructure systems such as: bridges, gantries, piles, plate girders, steel frames, and steel structures
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience managing relationships with end users and main contractors
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • Effective time management, leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
