Job Description

Contracts Manager Location - LoughboroughSalary - £49,000 - £59,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)Metalis are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our client in Loughboroughs dynamic team. As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of their contractual agreements,ensuring successful project delivery and client satisfaction.Job Duties:

  • Demonstrate competent leadership by managing and motivating all team members engaged in your projects.
  • Attend site during crucial activities such as meetings or installations, and potentially during possessions, ensuring hands-on involvement.
  • Establish and maintain a professional and appropriate approach in all aspects of your work and that of your teams.
  • Uphold high standards of safety and organization on your projects, striving for excellent KPI and client feedback ratings.
  • Ensure detailed programming of work to mitigate potential risks, managing critical areas, and identifying performance-related commercial opportunities.
  • Oversee sub-contractors to ensure sufficient resources, monitoring and recording outputs to ensure proper and timely valuations and/or withholding notices.
  • Establish clear lines of responsibility and accountability for individuals engaged on each project, managing the chain of responsibility with appropriate direct reporting.
  • Maintain proper and timely completion of records required under quality, environmental and safety systems, production management systems, and procurement and requisition systems.
  • Work with the project QS to manage and submit contractual notices and approvals as relevant and necessary to each project.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the client, clients staff, and clients professional team to minimize project-related issues and promote future opportunities for repeat business.
  • Set project-specific KPI targets and complete as required by company systems.
  • Ensure that contract program and progress outlines are regularly maintained and submitted to relevant parties for each project on a fortnightly basis at a minimum.
  • Ensure applications for payment and sub-contractor valuations are issued and agreed by your project QS in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Work with the project QS to produce accurate monthly contract value assessments for timely submission.
  • Take part in marketing and selling exercises, collaborating with the sales team to compile accurate and effective tender submissions.
Job Requirements:
  • Understanding of Tekla software
  • Ability to prepare business plans and forecasting documentation.
  • Experience in working with relevant industry software programs such as MS Project.
  • Technical knowledge of the products and services generally employed with relevant industry trades - e.g. metal decking, roofing and cladding.
  • Experience and knowledge of claims handling.
  • Experience and knowledge of procurement and quantity surveying including experience of negotiating contract variations.
  • Ability to operate a quality system.
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as SMSTS and CSCS Card.
  • Relevant sector qualifications such as PTS & National Highways Passport.
Salary & Hours:
  • £49,000 - £59,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)
  • 39 hours per week working the following shift pattern: Monday - Thursday 07:45am - 16:15pm, Friday 07:45am - 14:15pm
  • Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
