Job Description

Surveyor / Contracts Manager £30,000-45,000 - negotiable depending on experience 26 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays)Leicester, Northampton, Coventry, Derby, NottinghamSummaryWe are looking for an experienced Insurance Surveyor / Contracts Manager for a small but successful company in the East Midlands area. Working within a small team you will be dealing with insurance reinstatement projects following fire, flood, escape ofwater, impact and subsidence damage claims.The company are well established with secure, long-standing contracts. This role is a mix of home, office and field based and the main areas they cover are the LE, CV, NN, NG and PE/DE postcodes.There is an experienced office admin team who will also provide support with the claims management / customer contact.Job role and responsibilities

  • Surveying properties and diagnosing defects following insurance claims
  • Validating/repudiating claims
  • Scoping and estimating repair works
  • Submitting reports and recommendations
  • Negotiating cash settlements in-line with the insurers schedule of works where the company is not undertaking the repairs
  • Scheduling & programming relevant direct labour and sub-contractors to complete works
  • Checking on works as necessary & dealing with variations
  • Finalising scopes and invoicing
For this Insurance Surveyor / Contracts Manager role, you will need to have:
  • Experience producing accurate scope of works on private domestic property repairs (Domestic Insurance Claims / Reinstatement works)
  • Experience working with schedule of rates, producing work schedules/costs
  • Ability to manage directly employed trades, sub-contractors and programming repair works in to conclusion
  • Confidence in dealing with variations and liaising directly with insurance companies or their representatives
  • Good IT skills. Ideally, experience of Symbility, Xactware or other portal-based systems
  • Full driving licence (essential)
Package details
  • Salary between £30-45k (negotiable depending on experience)
