We aim to be trend setters, who exceed customer expectations.In a fun and friendly environment, our DNA is to challenge ourselves and be passionate about our legacy.A bit about the role...As a Senior Software Developer you will take ownershipand have authority over parts of our software, to lead development of newprojects to deliver and oversee a small group of developers. You will lead the development of features and components at all stages of requirement gathering, work planning, design proposals, evaluation, implementation and support. You will demonstrate goodknowledge of release processes, operations and protectively establish strong stakeholder management within the team and the Express organisation as a total.Whilst having a strong understanding of the teams internal processes you will promote good design principlesand test and process automation.Support team and testers in their daily tasks as well as actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, knowledge sharing and contribution to documentation.Identify and drive opportunities for continual improvement tosoftware, owning the business case for change, oversee through to implementation.A bit about youTo succeed at Costa, it is important that you embrace our values and enjoy working with diverse and committed colleagues. In addition, we would hope to see someof the below:Up to date knowledge of frameworks (.Net, Azure Cloud), related standards, tools and trends.Experience developing web applications using JavaScript Frameworks (Vue, React).Practical knowledge of object-oriented design patterns, architecture, industrystandards, SOLID Principles and Test Driven Development.Experience putting Agile development principles into practice including continuous integration and deployment using Git and Azure DevOps Pipelines.Experience leading other developers through the implementationof software solutions.In addition to the above, it would be great to see, but not required, a keen interest in the below:IOT, Edge computing and building connected devices.Building for international markets.Evolving a DevOps pipeline to support multiple platforms.Migratingtowards modular architecture.Experience with EPOS, vending systems, payment hardware and systems integration.What we can offer...Were on an exceptional adventure and can offer a truly purpose led career with flexibility to suit your personal needs.
