Name of Head Teacher: Juan FernandezSalary: Circa £26,000 pa (may be negotiable for exceptional candidates)Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (ability to work outside of `core hours, including before and after school)Your School:Roundwood School is a new and innovative service, it will provide alternative schooling and emotional and wellbeing support for children and young people aged 11-16 who are subject to fixed term exclusions, and those whose needs cannot be met in mainstream education. Children will attend Roundwood for either short term provision (respite) or long-term education and, at full capacity, the school will cater for a total of 50 pupils.The school will be an inclusive learning environment in which all pupils are valued, nurtured, and treated with dignity and respect to secure progress across all subject areas and in their personal development. The core of Roundwood Schools work will be to get the students believing in themselves again, learning from what has happened in the past and equipping themselves for a positive adult life.Roundwoods Mission and Values:

The Post:This is an exciting role for an experienced Family Engagement Worker who is passionate about helping children, young people and their families achieve their full potential.You will be joining the UP Team as well as playing a key role in the team at Roundwood, we are utterly committed to transforming life chances of children through preventative work that supports children with social, emotional and mental health needs.You will hold a caseload of parents/carers & families with complex, multiple needs, working within the School and in families homes to support young peoples increased school attendance, reduce the likelihood of further educational and social exclusion, safeguard young people, enable the family to access local support networks and build resilience and autonomy through parenting support (group and individual).The Person:

Knowledge of early intervention and early help with adolescents and families

Understanding of trauma informed practice and contextual safeguarding (desirable)

Working independently and directly with families in a range of environments, including their homes (one to one and/or group work)

Experience of working in an education setting (desirable)

Experience of working in/setting up a new service in partnership with another organisation (desirable)

High level of integrity and personal accountability

Ability to work in a high-intensity environment, be self-motivated, resilient and able to effectively manage your own wellbeing

Able to quickly establish personal and professional credibility

Ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse families and communities
