The role will undertake a range of specialistduties, using specialist equipment and techniques, in accordance with appropriate regulations and standards to provide a safe and effective front-line service aligned to customers need. The maintenance with be on Aircraft Refuelling vehicles.

  • To carry out mechanical repairs to various vehicles, plant and equipment ensuring compliance with and in accordance with all current relevant codes of practice and legislation.
  • Install, repair or replace damaged or defective parts or sections of vehicles, plant and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a defect or breakdown and correct the fault.
  • Prepare, present and accompany all LGV vehicles, other than exempt categories, for annual MOT inspections.
  • Carry out periodic safety inspections to all LGV vehicles to Company inspection manual standards.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis on complex hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. To attend broken down or accident damaged vehicles and effect permanent or running repairs as required at the airport
  • To plan and carry out scheduled maintenance & servicing on cars, vans, minibuses, fuel tankers and fuel hydrant dispensers.
  • Quality control checks on all fuelling vehicles.
  • Defect rectification on all fuelling vehicles.
  • To complete associated paperwork to ensure that all statistics and legal information are produced, update dedicated workshop computer system as necessary.
  • Liaise with location Supervisors/Managers.
Guaranteed minimum hours pay per month - 164 hours (38 hours per week)Basic Pay Rate - £ 22.14 per hourOvertime Rate - £30.55 - £40.74Other Benefits

QualificationsMandatory Skills & QualificationsYou must hold car driving licence with no bans or more than 6 points on your driving licence (this can only be for 2 x 3 point offences).You must also have relevant qualifications and recognised training in maintenance and repair of light and heavy goods vehicles.Preferred Skills & QualificationsLGV2 (C) driving licence would be preferred but not requiredAdditional InformationIND0909
