Would you like to support young people who have a learning disability or autism into sustainable employment This is mostly an office base role, with your main base being in Golden Lane (between Old St and Farringdon train stations).This is an amazing charity to join and be a part of. And although its only a 5 month contract initially, it could extend to a longer role or there might be other opportunities at the charity.You will work with partner organisations to receive referrals for the programme. Upon assessment, you will put a plan in place, and work with young people aged 1624 to support them into employment and provide in-work support once they have found work.You will be great at stakeholder engagementthis means liaising with job centres, colleges, and other charities around referrals for the programme. You will also be great at employer engagement and identifying opportunities whilst advocating for your clientsas needed.You will mainly be based at the Golden Lane office, but 1 -2 days a week you may well be in Islington, Barnet, or Waltham Forest (which is where the contract is funded to cover) to meet young people at partner organisations with the odd half day working fromhome catching up with paperwork.You must have either experience of working with young people, supporting people into employment or have experience of working with vulnerable clients in the capacity of supporting them to achieve a goal. You might have previously worked as a youth worker,careers advisor, support worker, project worker, employment advisor, recruitment consultant or hostel worker.Please apply via this adverteveryone gets a response.
