Job Description

EQs purpose is to care for every customer and simplify every transaction, deliveredwith less of an impact on the environment.EQs vision is to be the leading global share registrar, offering complementary services to its client base.Role SummaryThis functional lead will work under the overall Programme Manager to migrate the Payroll and related finance processes for 600 new US employees for the US based AST Company, recently merged into Equiniti. There will be 3 aspects to the role:

  • To oversee the parallel run for the HCM records which have been migrated already, between Workday and DayForce
  • To work on the upcoming entity merge and all finance related activities that will require testing
  • To work on the payroll migration, that includes time, expenses and leave, building the processes within Workday, overseeing the parallel run and the testing.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
  • To understand the overall project requirements from a technical perspective
  • To link the business requirements with the Workday technical teams, internal and external
  • To be able to do some elements of configuration within Workday
  • To understand Workday business processes and oversee testing
  • Maintain an understanding of our systems and technical roadmap for Finance and HCM
  • Ensure that the technology meets our current and future demands
  • Maintain excellent communications with our stakeholders
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
  • Completion of several previous Workday HCM/Payroll implementations ideally for US Companies/Employees
  • Project planning and Project Status reporting to key Stakeholders
  • Workday knowledge at a basic configuration level, plus reporting
  • Knowledge of payroll within Workday and good understanding of Time, Leave and Absence business processes
Must have skills
  • Workday HCM experience.
  • Experience in IT project management.
  • Experience of Workday Methodology and Workday Phase 2 implementations.
  • Experience of Workday integrations and migrations
  • Experience with internal applications (Workday HCM, Workday Payroll ideally for US employees)
  • Experience managing third party suppliers
  • An inquisitive personality where attention to detail is evident
  • Demonstrable capability of self-motivation
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Excellent communication skills
Nice to have skills
  • Project management and internal application experience within a similar financial services organisation, similar to EQ
  • IT Infrastructure experience
  • Customer Services skills, potentially in a consultancy role
  • Creative presentation skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
