Job Description

Windows Infrastructure EngineerMulti-Asset Hedge FundLondon, UKSalary on ApplicationOur client is seeking an engineer skilled in Windows software development and systems administration to join a dynamic Platform Engineering team. This hands-on, technical role focuses on building and maintaining critical technology infrastructure withinan inclusive and collaborative working environment.Daily Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the companys operating systems, authentication systems, databases, virtualisation infrastructure, core network services, and messaging endpoints on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and integration of infrastructure systems, mainly on Windows-based systems, but not limited to them.
Candidate Profile:
  • Possession of a degree in computer science or another technical field, or an equivalent level of work experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in Windows software development and systems automation. Proficiency in C# or PowerShell is advantageous; knowledge of Python and Rust is also valuable.
  • Deep understanding of the Windows platform and associated technologies, such as Active Directory and Failover Clustering, coupled with robust troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with various tracing tools and experience with standard Windows Server applications and management tools are highly desirable.
  • Practical knowledge of network protocols, Linux, and information security principles is essential. Experience with integrating systems across on-premises and cloud environments, as well as working with containers on Windows and Linux platforms, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills are critical due to the roles significant interaction with diverse departments within the company.
