Job Description

Our client is an acclaimed water treatment company with an excellent reputation for delivering a range of specialised services across the country. They are looking to employ an experienced, knowledgeable and versatile Water Treatment Engineer to work on a variety of contracts in and around the London area. This ideal candidate will demonstrate their extensive experience and knowledge working within the water treatment industry undertaking closed system / cooling tower analysis and maintenance of water treatment equipment. Applications from Edgware, Ilford, Mitcham, Wembley and the surrounding areas will be considered.Qualifications & experience:Will come from a strong chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background.Extensive experience working in this role or similar service engineer role within the water treatment/water hygiene industry. Expertise working with cooling towers, chlorination, steam boilers etc.A good working knowledge of the water treatment industry and legislation.A relevant City & Guilds or equivalent Level 3 Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Chemistry qualification. .Experience of chemical water treatment such as industrial cooling water, cooling tower systems, boiler water and other water process systems. . Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.Excellent communication skills.Must hold a full UK driving license. Key Responsibilities within the Role:Undertaking cleaning, chlorination and maintenance on both hot and cold water systems, steam boilers and cooling towers.The maintenance and servicing of softeners and dosing units.Carrying out cleaning and servicing of TMVs as well as showerhead descales. Carrying out routine temperature monitoring and sampling/analysis of water systems.Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment. Undertaking training and mentoring of staff as and when needed. Liaising with clients on a regular basis.Supporting existing customers with the servicing, chemical treatment, monitoring and account management of key water treatment systems.Providing legionella control to ensure customer compliance with ACOP L8 Carrying out account and equipment reviews.Completing accurate customer logbooks for maintenance and audit compliance Promoting services and upgrades where needed.
