Job Description

Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English Premier League Club, based in North London.The Club is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead the effective management of its Warehouse, ensuring safe, effective, and high performing operations.The successful candidate will be an expert in warehouse operations with broad knowledge through multiple roles. They will be keen to demonstrate their expertise and knowledge of best practice to drive process improvements from the get-go. They will be astrong team leader, skilled in motivating a large team to get results.Tottenham Hotspur Football Club welcomes applications from anyone regardless of age, disability, race, colour or ethnic and national origins, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.JOB PURPOSEThe Warehouse & Logistics Manager is required to set and lead the implementation of the warehouse operation against agreed budgeted running costs & KPIs. The role is a key function, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are in place, people are developed& motivated to a high level, and KPIs are set and managed. The role provides a link between operations and management and maintains operational relationships in the warehouse and with the wider business.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Propose and implement short, medium- and long-term strategies for the warehouse. Lead the charge to become best in class.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly & annual review of costs with Management Accountant reducing expenditure and driving efficiencies where appropriate.
  • Lead on staffing levels throughout the year leveraging banked hours, overtime, Agency, Casuals and store staff as required while operating within agreed budgets.
  • Conduct quarterly resource planning in line with forecasted sales & key promotional activities
  • Lead on all courier relationships negotiating pricing and service levels to ensure the e-commerce delivery proposition remains competitive at all times.
  • Set and communicate KPI’s across all warehouse functions including - Goods in, Putaway, QC, Bin to bin, Picking / Packing, Shirt printing, Pre-retailing & Gift Of Kit requirements
  • Manage, coach and develop the Assistant Manager, Team Leaders and Warehouse Assistants to deliver and exceed Warehouse KPIs
  • Management performance against KPIs by developing reporting and communicating overall and individual performance through regular reviews based upon The Spurs Way Appraisal process.
  • Responsible for stock accuracy across the Warehouse optimising systems, processes and procedures as well as maintaining a highly organised Warehouse working environment.
  • Create and embed operations SOPs to maximize efficiencies within the Warehouse
  • Lead on systems development and optimization across all warehouse systems and technology by working closely with IT and 3rd parties
  • Engage & build long term relationships with other EPL teams and LFL retailers to understand best practice and implement the appropriate changes in the THFC operation.
  • Build and improve relationships with internal customers including Partnerships & the Training Centre. Review and propose process improvements around Gift Of Kit and summer Tour requirements to improve standards and service levels.
  • Promote and ensure a safe working environment, in compliance with all HSE legislation

    • Scheduling & unit receipt processing

  • Picking / packing / goods out -
    • e-commerce orders
    • fulfilment of all store replenishment
    • VIK requirements
    • Store replenishment
    • Shirt personalization for all retail ecommerce orders
  • Vendor management -
    • Resolving issues and late deliveries
    • Resolving and reporting QC issues
    • Relationship management and terms negotiation for all couriers
  • Stock control -
    • Bin location optimization
    • Bin to Bin management
    • Cyclical counting
    • Stock take
    • Retail returns and refunds processing
    • Retail housekeeping

PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • Currently working in or with recent experience of large multi-channel warehouse
  • Significant and demonstratable experience in
    • Management within the warehousing and supply chain logistics industry
    • Managing, leading and motivating large teams
    • e-commerce management, distribution laws, space optimization, warehouse layout, reporting and business analysis.
    • Determining and managing processes around Goods in, vendor management, stock control, pick, pack, dispatch & product personalization.
    • Optimizing & developing Warehouse Management systems
    • Planning and organising key activities
  • Hold appropriate Health & Safety qualifications
  • Values & respects others, builds relationships, communicates, collaborates
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to excel through times of growth, ambiguity and change
  • Strong analytical skills and acute attention to detail
  • An aptitude for systems, processes, insight and analysis
