Job Description Morgan McKinley is partnered with a banking client who require a Data Modeler who will be responsible for designing and building custody data models Morgan McKinley is partnered with a banking client who require a Data Modeler who will be responsible for designing and building custody data models. Responsibilities
  • Expert at data modeling and documenting data dictionary, business glossary and data quality rules
  • Drive the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns and IT practices. This will include standards for data artefacts - data dictionaries, input file formats, output file formats and the use of data modelling, lineage reportingand metadata related tools.
  • Create detailed data flow diagrams and design across a complex integration footprint.
  • Develop and maintain the IT asset register and the data lineage
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of one of the leading data modeling tools required. ErWin, PowerDesigner, Embarcadero
  • Expertise in DSL language as it applies to documenting entities, attributes and other aspects of data model.
  • Strong understanding and experience of enterprise metadata management tools used for data governance, catalog, lineage, and data quality.
  • Experience of using Collibra or IBM Information Governance catalog will be an advantage.
  • Substantial experience building and maintaining applications in the financial services industry, with extensive knowledge of Securities Services products and service offerings.
  • Industry knowledge of Securities Services products and service offerings with in-depth knowledge in one of Fund/Investment Accounting, Fund Administration, Middle Office, or Custody Services.
  • Expert knowledge of design patterns underpinning Cloud data platform (Snowflake), data lake, No-SQL datastores, relational databases and object storage.
