Prospectus is delighted to be working with Branches Hostel, the service provider of Waltham Forest Churches Night Shelter (WFCNS). The Hostel is based in Waltham Forest, East London and provides short-term accommodation, support and advocacy for former rough sleepers and single homeless people. They are now recruiting for a dynamic Volunteer Coordinator, working with volunteers and service users to ensure best positive changes for people living in Branches Hostel.As Volunteer Coordinator you will provide support and supervision to volunteers within agreed standards, and will vet, assess and train volunteers in line with recruitment processes. You will market services to potential volunteers, building new partnerships in the borough and with relevant organisations to develop the volunteering service provision. You will act as main point of contact for all volunteering enquiries, and will work with service users, as well as with internal teams, to develop the volunteer programme, ensuring that the programme meets wider organisational needs. You will deliver the programme to meet KPIs and will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the service provision.To apply for this exciting position, you will have demonstrable experience of managing volunteers and of developing volunteer programmes previously. You will have excellent communication skills, and will be comfortable interacting with a broad range of people. You will be confident developing networks and relationships with a wide range of partners, and will be skilled in delivering engaging training sessions and organisation events. You will have previous experience of monitoring and evaluating service provision, and of marketing services appropriately.
