Job Description

As a luxury fashion company with a strong ethical standpoint we are leaders and innovators in our industry.Location: London HQ Working Style: Office Based Overview Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, the Visual Merchandising Director is responsible for the physical expression of the brand across windows, stores, events, experiences and pop-ups.The Visual Merchandising Director will lead a team to create visually stunning displays that showcase Stella McCartney product in the most compelling and attractive ways possible, keeping aligned to the brand values and narrative. Additionally you will overseethe store planning team to ensure a cohesive design approach in all retail stores and drive the entire visual experience in a 360 manor. Your Mission:

  • Develops and directs global visual merchandising, planogram and display strategies, working with cross functional teams (Marketing, Creative, Retail and Communications) ensuring that visual execution and assets support the global 360 program.
  • Manage and maintain Stella McCartney Visual Merchandising standards and guidelines, ensuring successful communication to all teams globally.
  • Responsible for design, development and execution of temporary/permanent merchandising units related to seasonal campaigns/collections for the brand and for issuing merchandising related guidelines.
  • Oversee merchandising projects management, including managing workflow from inception to execution while maximising productivity and efficiency and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintaining awareness of merchandising trends relative to the competition, travel as necessary, and complete instore visits to observe counters in action and approve production, research trends and materials with a sustainable and ethical approach/mindset.
  • Drive the Store planning and architecture teams to ensure that the instore experience is aligned with Stella McCartney ethos and vision, and relevant to boost customer sales and footfall.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, conduct weekly/monthly meetings with global teams to ensure company direction is aligned and efficiently executed.
  • Review and feedback to each region after launches.
  • Support the wider business such as communication and marketing with key brand events and important projects.
  • Analyse data and product performance and establish strategic merchandise direction.
  • Develop global processes to define coordination, leverage learnings, eliminate duplication and maximise opportunity.
  • Lead the team and provide guidance, coaching and support to ensure they are performing at their best
  • Collaborating with our marketing and communications teams to ensure that our brand messaging is consistent across all physical experiences.
  • Conducting store visits to ensure that our visual merchandising and store experience standards are being met, providing feedback to the team as needed.
  • Staying up to date with the latest trends and innovations in visual merchandising and incorporating them into our strategy where appropriate.
  • Ability to translate the brand narrative into physical touchpoints which are cohesive with store layouts, window displays and other marketing materials.
