Job Description

£400pd - £500pd - London - Vitalisation Engineer - VMware and NutanixAbout emagine:emagine is a high-end professional services consultancy and solutions firm specializing in providing business and technology services to the financial services sector. We foster a culture of openness, integrity, and collaboration, aiming to deliver optimalservices for our clients and create a positive and equitable working environment.Role Overview:We are seeking a talented Vitalisation Engineer with expertise in VMware and Nutanix, experienced in operational management, and dedicated to implementing efficient tools and processes. This role involves working with emagine onsite at a leading Global InvestmentBank. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing operational processes and ensuring the smooth running of key business functions.Please note we are only screening applications with 3+ years’ experience as a Vitalisation Engineer with VMware and Nutanix.Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement tools and processes for efficient and effective operational management of the environment.
  • Define and implement a service catalogue while ensuring workload is kept within defined parameters.
  • Produce clear supporting documentation to enable off-shore to provide first and second-line support.
  • Provide deep technical assessments of ticket queues to identify and address issues holistically.
  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve any technical issues escalated by off-shore teams.
  • Strive to permanently eliminate issues through automation opportunities and sustainable long-term fixes.
  • Partner with SRE team to identify areas for continuous improvement, automation, and self-service.
  • Ensure all project/investment workloads are delivered according to plans and budget defined.
  • Liaise with Infrastructure Control and IT Risk teams to satisfy internal and external audit requests.
  • Take part in On-Call & weekend work rotation, triaging and addressing production issues as they arise.
