Job Description

Soldo have quickly established themselves as an "A Player" in the FinTech world by building and launching a rock-solid product that makes spend and expense management super easy. By adding great product to a leadership team that have decades of experience and success in payment systems we have been able to get noticed, get investment and get customers across Europe.Today, we have thousands of customers across Europe, offices in London, Milan, Rome and Dublin, and over 200 people from 20 nations. Put simply, our spend management platform is the smarter way for businesses to spend, and it’s growing.Reporting into the Product department, we are looking for a talented UX Writer to work in a lean, collaborative manner to spread the word of the Soldo products. By embracing creativity, technical knowledge and culture insights of Soldo you strive to create accurate and informative communications in a clear and concise manner about all Soldos products. As a writer in Soldo, you will collaborate with product management and other designers to understand and describe the innovative solutions Soldo develops for its customers.

  • Capture technical and product knowledge from the team, documenting, sharing and making it easily accessible to the right teams and people
  • Create and maintain product guides and articles describing the implemented product experience and crafting product materials as needed
  • Be comfortable working cross-functionally with other teams to develop innovative and engaging product/marketing content and to tap into opportunities for content creation
  • Create engaging in-product UX microcopy across all Soldos products and other content for our internal communications
  • Advocate sound messaging hierarchy, craft storyboards and task flows to ensure content is always useful, on-brand and in line with our style guidelines
  • Partner with product managers, designers and researchers to ensure that copy is on-brand, tailored, helpful, clear, and human
  • Review your work on copy and microcopy and define a plan to progressively update our apps to ensure consistencyMaintain best practices, guidelines, tone of voice, whilst promoting UX writing and copy strategy across the business
  • Define, lead and own the workflow to translate the copy to multiple languages, ensuring the translations are accurate and maintain the original meaning and purpose
  • Build knowledge across the team helping drive the understanding and importance of the right words across the organisation (accurate and precise)Review your work to ensure all-around consistency
    • Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a similar role such as content copywriter, technical writing, product documentation
  • Superior writing, editing, proofreading skills and understanding of what creating online/digital content means- a strong grasp of spelling and grammar is essential
  • Native English speaker, with high desirable bonus points for proficiency in Italian first and then other languages
  • Portfolio of relevant writing/content strategy work
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts into easy-to-understand guides for our users
  • Extensive knowledge of user experience fundamentals.
  • Comfortable switching between different writing styles: short and precise microcopy, persuasive and influential, editorial and narrative… helping the user throughout the Soldo experience
  • Good interpersonal skills - ability to give and take constructive criticism
  • You are a dedicated team player who is willing to contribute ideas and drive results
  • Reliable multi-tasking skills with excellent organisation and a very strong attention to detail
  • Service driven attitude with a proven ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Confidence to learn in a busy environment and ability to take initiative
  • BA/MA in Literature, Journalism, Technical Writing, Interpreter or Translator (2 or more languages) or equivalent experience
