Job Description

Job IntroductionUX Design at Handelsbanken is one of the three key disciplines comprising the Experience Design Team, alongside Research and Insight and Service Design. We are a team of highly skilled, passionate and curious individuals enabling people all across the businessto keep customers front of mind and innovate by integrating research and using design thinking to creatively solve problems in the bank. The team sits within the Digital function and is a key part of the banks digital transformation programme. Reporting into the UX Design Lead, you will work collaboratively in a cross functional product team to champion UX best practices across all phases of the design and development process, including research and usability testing, and the creation of user-flows,wireframes and prototypes. As well as plan and facilitate workshops to ensure positive customer outcomes. As a strong communicator, you will also help teams across the bank understand the value of UX design to bring them on the journey, and ensure togetherwe deliver change well for both colleagues and customers. This position is to be based in London or Manchester. Main Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert for UX design on cross-platform applications to develop and enhance user digital experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with research and insight and service design colleagues as part of product digital teams
  • Plan and facilitate workshops to define and shape requirements and share designs in Show and Tells
  • Work with and deliver personas, user journeys, page flows, wireframes, site architecture, navigation models, interface scamps, page comps, interactive prototypes and interaction guides.
  • Be proficient using specialist tools such as Figma, Miro or similar.
  • Conduct and use both quantitative and qualitative research and usability testing to inform design and optimise experience.
  • Be an advocate for inclusive research practices to ensure all designs comply with accessibility standards
  • Work closely with the UX teams in Group (Sweden) and others to build and establish standardised practices within the design team, including development of our design system.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Consumer Duty regulation and partner with control functions to ensure all design and change enables the bank to meet all legal, risk and compliance requirements
  • Ensure robust governance of any design decisions, partnering with internal control functions to meet all legal, risk and compliance requirements.
  • Operates in line with the Banks Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.

  • Excellent experience across the end-to-end UX process.
  • In-depth knowledge of UX skills and trends.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders handling aspects such as UX research, UX strategy and UX design.
  • User centric with a strong focus on user experience and outcomes.
  • Good communication and facilitation skills, to bring visibility to problems and outcomes to a variety of audiences with ease
  • Actively building effective working relationships across all levels of the organisations across and globally with stakeholders in different markets
  • Good understanding and experience using measurements for success
  • Demonstrate knowledge of agile working methodologies
  • A self-starter who can work under their own initiative
  • Excellent and meticulous at task management, collaboration and organisational skills
