Job Description

Role: Urban Designer/ ResearcherLocation: The City Salary: £42,000 - £45,000We are recruiting for a Urban Designer for one of the UKs leading architectural practices. Our client is looking for a Urban Designer to join their London office and work the existing team on various Urban Design and Master planning projects. With a head count of well over 300 people they are a recognised and hugely established architecture firm.Duties:

  • Develop an understanding of project briefs and support through research and wider analysis
  • Develop design proposals through iterative reviews with the project and client team
  • Prepare drawings and information for coordination purposes with external consultants
  • Prepare and maintain project drawings in compliance with QA Systems
  • Ensure the adequate integration of technical information and statutory requirements into design drawings
  • Assist with administration of project information
  • Assist with preparation of reports and project documentation
  • Attend and present at regular project meetings
    • Technical Skills Required:
  • Ability to produce coherent and well resolved design concepts and master planning schemes
  • Knowledge of planning policies and the UK planning process
  • Ability to work to CAD standards
  • Excellent 2D / 3D CAD and DTP skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3D modeling skills in Sketchup, Rhino or Revit
  • Experience in Vectorworks would be useful
