We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations and Service Delivery Manager to oversee the UNIX, Windows, and VMware infrastructure operations and drive the efficient delivery of services. In this role, you will be part of the global UMIX/Windows/VMWare SDM team, (reporting to the SDM manager) responsible for managing MSP (Managed Service Provider), ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of the UNIX, Windows, and VMware environments. You will collaborate with MSP, vendors, clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional services and meet service level agreements (SLAs). The ideal candidate has a strong background in UNIX, Windows, and VMware operations,excellent leadership abilities, and a customer-centric approach. Your strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and operational efficiency will ensure the security, reliability, scalability, stability, availability, and performance of our UNIX/Windows/VMWare environments.   • Manage the MSP teams of UNIX, Windows, and VMware engineers and administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of UNIX, Windows, and VMware infrastructure, ensuring stability, availability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and align service delivery with their needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with MSPs, internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery.
  • Define and enforce operational processes, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing proactive measures to optimize system performance.
  • Coordinate and lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing impact on service availability.
  • Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure service delivery meets or exceeds agreed-upon performance targets.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, database administrators, and application support teams, to ensure seamless integration of UNIX/Windows/VMWare systems with other infrastructure components.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and alerting strategies to proactively identify and address system performance bottlenecks, capacity issues, and potential failures.
  • Conduct regular system audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and optimize UNIX/Windows/VMWare infrastructure.
  • Ensure appropriate backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place for UNIX systems, including regular backups, backup testing, and documentation of recovery processes.
  • Coordinate and oversee system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to manage and maintain relationships, negotiate contracts, and stay updated with emerging technologies and product offerings.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base resources related to UNIX/Windows/VMWare operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in relation to UNIX systems and data security.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in UNIX, Windows, and VMware operations, and drive their adoption where appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing UNIX, Windows, and VMware operations in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Linux, Solaris, AIX), Windows Server, and VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Experience managing and leading a team of engineers and administrators, with excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience managing and leading MSPs. Solid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and processes, such as ITIL.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Pandora, Nagios, SolarWinds) and incident management systems.
  • Experience in managing service level agreements (SLAs) and driving continuous service improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and ensuring client satisfaction.
