Job Description

Are you an experienced Underwriter with a keen understanding of Bridging and Buy-To-Let lending Do you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our clients team as an Underwriter.Our client a leading financial institution based in the West End is seeking an underwriter to join the team.This role is based on site full time in the luxuary office.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn a fantastic bonus and commission.Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate loan applications for Bridging and Buy-To-Let transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, risk assessment, and property valuation to make informed underwriting decisions.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including loan officers, brokers, and other internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of underwriting decisions and addressing inquiries promptly.
  • Stay updated on market trends, industry regulations, and lending guidelines to ensure accurate and up-to-date decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 experience as an Underwriter in Bridging or Buy-To-Let lending.
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage underwriting processes, property valuation, and risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage lending principles, risk assessment, loan products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to underwriting.
