Job Description

UK Development Manager 22 Bishopsgate, London Permanent At AXA IM our purpose, to act for human progress by investing for what matters, is central to every action we take as a business. As a future UK Development Manager, you will report to the Head of Development UK, and you will be part of AXA IM Alts - Real Estate. DISCOVER your opportunity Day to day lead of client role directing DM and project team for the design, development and implementation of development projects (primarily Elstree Studios) as the investors representative (including but not limited to: risk management; budgets and deadlines,market suitability, marketing, leasing and ESG). Also day to day Dev Team member supporting Asset Management refurbishment projects. Your role and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee stages of the development process including (but not limited to):
    • Preparation of business plan / investment proposals
    • Appointment and management of the professional team
    • Design development to ensure customer focused real estate to optimise construction time, quality and cost
    • Secure planning to achieve the business plan
    • Tender and awarding of construction contracts
    • Project supervision to deliver quality inline with budget and programme
    • Marketing and leasing strategy and implementation
    • Preparation for operation
  • Observance of the environmental policy of AXA IM Real Assets
  • Customer orientated behaviour in order to support the main business of the company
  • Assist with identifying potential development opportunities
  • Contribute to evaluation of different strategies for transformation, demolition, reconstruction or refurbishment of real estate asset, whether within existing portfolios or new opportunities
  • Project due diligence and acquisition
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned from time to time

  • University educated
  • Meaningful experience in a similar function in a real estate company or asset manager
Your knowledge and skills:
  • Strong understanding of managing the development process and associated risks
  • UK legal agreements, implications and process applied to real estate including commercial leases, professional appointments and AFLs
