Job Description

Join the Close Brothers treasury & savings Risk team where you will support embedding the maturity and development of standards, policies, and risk appetites. Working as part of the Risk team, our ideal team member will have a strong understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies, with excellent communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide independent and robust oversight and challenge relating to the Groups embedding of the non-financial risk framework and methodology as first line identify, assess, manage and report risk and issues through tools implemented across the Group
  • Advisory and support activities including risk and control assessments, key risk indicators, issue and incident management and control assurance
  • Challenge and provide independent opinion on periodic reporting of risk and controls, KRIs, KPIs and KCIs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Group Treasurer, key members of the T&S LT and wider team to support ongoing development of Treasury and Savings management
  • Ensure that relevant Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
  • You have a strong understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies
  • You are interested in identifying relevant data, performing analysis and understanding the impact on our bank
  • You have strong working knowledge across multiple areas of Treasury Risk management
  • You have the ability to interact effectively and build relationships with varied stakeholders in both technical and strategic roles
  • You are able to work independently, proactively and enjoy a dynamic and changing environment
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Have experience of one or all of ICAAP and ILAAP submissions, IRRB, debt capital, liquidity and market risk
  • Have experience of implementation of new Retail savings and Treasury products
