Job Description

Job IntroductionMain Responsibilities Handelsbanken plcs Finance department is based in London. Since Handelsbanken plc was established on 1 December 2018 UKEs responsibilities have increased and diversified substantially. Finance are responsible for statutory accounting and reporting, technicalaccounting expertise, business and financial control, tax issues, capital and liquidity planning and management. We have the following purposes:

  • Acts as the first line control function of Group treasury
  • Proposes liquidity and funding management limits to the CFO
  • Oversees the production of the ILAAP (Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process) and provide key inputs to the ICAAP and Recovery Recovery and Resolution Planning
  • Performs overall treasury monitoring
  • Escalates treasury issues to the risk committees where appropriate.
  • Oversees the production and maintenance of the Banks liquidity contingency plan (LCP).
  • Ensures that funding and liquidity-related decisions are taken when the UK is under liquidity stress (as outlined in the LCP).
  • Settlement of treasury transactions and Intraday liquidity monitoring, reporting and analysis
  • Managing the Banks membership to RTGS at the Bank of England
  • Onboarding and maintenance of UK Customer details in Capital Markets systems

The role holder would be expected to contribute to developing the Banks Treasury function in line with regulatory requirements and best practice. This will include the following:
  • Supporting the UK Treasurer with various ongoing/ad hoc projects including enhancing the management of the Banks liquidity, funding and interest rate risk position;
  • Support the continuing development of an ALM model to allow the modelling of IRRBB and liquidity risk;
  • Developing and producing regular and ad hoc MI/analysis related to interest rate risk and liquidity risk;
  • Supporting the review and challenge of behavioural assumptions for interest rate risk management;
  • Contributing to the Banks ILAAP, Recovery and Resolution planning;
  • Contributing to developing the Banks funds transfer pricing practices;
  • Supporting the development of the Banks funding planning; and
  • Review and challenge of Treasury related regulatory reporting
  • Operates in line with the Banks Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.
