Job Description

Join us as a Treasury Finance Manager

  • In this key role, youll work with offshore teams in delivering the Treasury balance sheet and P&L forecasts under base and stress scenarios
  • Well look to you to manage the Treasury cost allocation to various franchises based on utilisation of funding and liquidity needs

What youll doAs Treasury Finance Manager, youll be leading the preparation of the Treasury balance sheet and P&L forecasts under base and stress scenarios, including the budget cycle, ICAAP and the Bank of Englands annual stress test. Youll also be responsible for themonthly project where youll re-evaluate the rolling forecast against current actual outcomes and latest market expectations. Through the course of your work, youll be:
  • Producing and reviewing the capital and funding issuance costs, costs associated with holding the banks liquidity buffer and income from the capital hedging program
  • Leading the communication of Treasury plans to senior management and making recommendations to maximise value
  • Acting as the key contact on Treasury P&L related matters
  • Supporting technology change and pro-actively looking for ways to streamline forecasting processes and making better use of technology
  • Undertaking regular Sarbanes Oxley testing and control, as well as external audit requirements
The skills youll needYoull have knowledge of a banking or Treasury environment and an accountancy qualification such as an ACCA, ACA or CIMA. Well also need you to have a background of working closely with offshore teams and a proven track record of completing statutory disclosuresin addition to normal accounting procedures. On top of this, youll demonstrate:
  • Knowledge of the relevant financial, regulatory and legislative developments affecting Treasury activities
  • Comprehensive Treasury or banking experience with good risk management and general banking product knowledge
  • Knowledge of IFRS, in particular IAS
  • The ability to manage projects or support ad hoc project work
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to work with people across different teams and levels
