A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Trainee Caretaker/Handyperson to join one of Badenoch and Clarks largest and leading Housing Association clients in a temporary post, leading to permanent should the successful applicant perform well. Based in the borough of Ealing in West London, the post holder will be involved in maintaining communal areas within the blocks and on estates, carrying out communal cleaning and small maintenance repairs as well as grounds maintenance work. As a mobile worker, you will be working within a small team travelling by van to different parts of West and South London on a daily basis, so confident driving and team working skills are essential. This is a full time post (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and the successful candidate will be expected to have strong interest or knowledge in: * Carrying out a variety of small repair jobs and working effectively as part of a team and under own initiative. * Trade skills, Gardening or DIY. * Raising repair orders. * A good standard of literacy and IT skills (as you will be required to use a PC at times undertaking online courses and assessments. However this can be learnt on the job during the probationary period). Please note, whilst previous caretaking/handyperson experience would be ideal for this role, my client is very willing to train ambitious and fully committed trainees to do this role, so applications from all career backgrounds will happily be considered. Strong customer service skills is absolutely essential.
