Role Overview:The Post Trade (Trade Services) team at Liquidnet are responsible for the service of our global clients (members) who trade EMEA markets in both equity and fixed income asset classes. The team cover all aspects of Post Trade processing including, but not limitedto, trade booking, confirmation, settlement, fail management, relationship management and new business initiatives. This is a fixed term role (maternity cover) within the London office reporting into the Trade Services Manager and forms part of the wider EMEA Trade Services team. Trade Services is split into two distinct functions, Trade Support and Settlements, and the successful candidate must have current experience in either function in either Equities or Fixed Income, preferably Equities. The incumbent would work alongside theLondon based Trade Support and Settlements analysts to ensure all activity is processed in line with our standards and that risk is managed effectively whilst ensuring we provide a seamless service to all our customers. To that end we will also ensure allmembers are cross-trained across both functions and are able to self-serve on queries. The individual must either possess relevant market experience and evidence a strong aptitude for learning and a desire to build a career in Operations. The individual must possess excellent client service and communication skills and be able to communicatein a confident manner to effectively manage internal/external client expectations, build strong client and team relationships and deliver quality services. Role Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the timely and accurate settlement of our member trades across our Equity and Fixed Income
  • To ensure the timely and accurate processing of our member trades across Equity and Fixed Income. The incumbent must ensure trades are processed efficiently and accurately and any discrepancies are risk managed alongside the Front Office and/or Technicalsupport.
  • Act as a risk agent by proactively chasing down open, unmatched, or failing trades ensuring potential risk is escalated appropriately and in a timely fashion
  • Accurate set up, configuration and maintenance of our member static data within Liquidnet and our Clearing Agent systems
  • An understanding of the on-exchange workflow and associated risks is preferred but not essential
  • Experience and knowledge of the Buy-In process and risks
  • Identify and resolve workflow issues; liaise with internal/external departments and members, where appropriate, to resolve outstanding issues, ensuring escalation to immediate manager where necessary
  • Strong understanding and experience in the processing and handling of exceptions via the electronic confirmation platforms DTCC CTM, FIX and Traiana. An understanding of ALERT is also advantageous.
  • Perform root cause analysis to ongoing issues or identified trends presenting, where possible, solutions to the issue(s) with a focus on gaining efficiencies and reducing risk.
  • Build a strong working relationship with our Front Office and key vendors.
  • To provide a consistently high level of client service to our external and internal clients/stakeholders.
  • Responsible for participating in UAT and in-house testing.
  • Have a conversational level knowledge of key market related initiatives, e.g. T2S, CSDR, Exchange vs OTC.
  • Own the delivery of selected small change projects e.g. cross training.
  • Actively participate in meetings/calls.
  • To work closely with the wider team - locally and globally - ensuring support is provided and tasks assigned delivered.
Experience / Competences: Essential
  • Prior Trade Support or Settlements experience.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely within a small team or independently, assimilate information, make prompt decisions and share results with colleagues.
  • Ability to work accurately always and be able to multitask.
  • Demonstrate the ability to continuously review and improve processes.
  • Strong customer service ethic with a desire to provide the best service always.
  • It is key that the individual be comfortable using multiple systems and has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Motivated, quick learner who can multi-task successfully.
  • Must be a team player and also able to work independently, when required.
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.

Desired
  • Knowledge of the full post trade lifecycle is preferred.
  • Equity market experience preferred; Fixed Income experience not essential.
  • Language skills, whilst not essential, would be advantageous
