Job Description

A new opportunity is now available within an international bank in the city as a Trade Finance and Payments Officer.As a Trade Finance and Payments Officer you will be required to:

  • Ensure that AML/KYC monitoring for Trade Finance products complies with regulatory and industry best practice.
  • Perform due diligence and any required external verification on shipping documents especially those with large volumes in line with new AML requirements.
  • Have skills to generate day to day payments under export Letter of Credits and import L/Cs vide MT202 and or MT103
  • Ensure accurate handling of all documentary collections (inward/outward) and recording of the collections in the Flexcube Banking system, in line with the product code allocated for the nature of collection involved.
  • Carry out all necessary compliance checks before documents are sent to collecting banks.
    • The ideal Trade Finance and Payments officer must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience which is includes knowledge of trade finance processing products which would be highly advantageous. Please apply within.
