Job Description

Test Manager (Telecoms Network Deployment) Salary circa £65k- £70k, negotiablePlus BonusPlus excellent benefitsBased in Central LondonFlexible working available The OpportunityWould you like to get involved in on of the most exciting programme of works in the UK that is going to revolutionise the daily lives of commuters in LondonThis project is to roll out 4G mobile connectivity across the London Underground network. While platform access is available for Wi-Fi at the moment, this network build and deployment programme will allow that access to data when on the move in the tunnels.Ready to play your part on the project that is going to change the way we all work and live in the CityThen read on...The RoleThis role is working for the client and network owner and as a Telecoms Testing Manager, your role has accountability to develop, guide and manage the effective analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test strategies for the deployment programme.You are also accountable to ensure proper configuration management of the test systems and traceability tests to meet regulatory standards and following best in class operating principles.Primary Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Define and develop the approach to Test Strategies and incorporate into a customer led plans ensuring that the outputs are measured against clear specifications.
  • Execute test plans to meet London Underground and Mobile Network Operator applicable standards to ensure the programme is delivered in a safe and environmentally responsible manner against time, cost and quality.
  • Provide management advice and best practice in respect of all telecoms testing activities
  • Work effectively with key vendors to establish Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
  • Establish a clear approach and management of a suitable testing database
  • Management of test assets (equipment, test rigs)
  • Check / Review the Test Cases documents.

  • A comprehensive understanding of Mobile Network Operators or Telecoms vendors is required
  • Proven experience of managing a testing programme, approach, delivery and outputs to demonstrate our due diligence and commitment to deliver to the required standards
  • A good working knowledge of the following systems: Electromagnetic interference (EMI), Structured cabling testing, Optical fibre testing, Wireless Network Architecture required to deploy a network
