Test Automation Consultant

Working Style:Hybrid WorkingPurpose of Role:

Assess manual test scripts & solutions in order to write and/or plan the production of effective automated test scripts with the objective to reduce testing timelines, cost avoidance of manual testing efforts and to ensure software is of sufficient quality.
Analyse non-functional requirements in order to create repeatable Performance Test frameworks to effectively stress test technology deliverables and test device/cross browser compatibility.
Own system upgrades across the banks technology stack, driving automation into the testing process to avoid the cost of manual testing.
Create the roadmap, schedule and reporting for the banks test teams automation strategy.

Skillset Required:

Ability to write complex test scripts for Web Automation using Selenium Webdriver and Java
Experienced in using the page object model/factory design patterns for building automation frameworks with an ability to write accurate assertions, data driven tests and automated test reporting
Ability to run the framework via CI, invoking APIs and storing the source code in a version control repository
Experienced in the use of JMeter for performance testing and the use of Cross Browser testing software
Ability to produce robust performance testing frameworks for non-functional testing of websites and web services
Experienced in the leading of manual testing efforts; planning, scheduling & reporting
Experience in lending, banking or financial services industry and familiarity with the supporting systems
Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills. Ability to present ideas in business friendly language
Ability to manage aggressive timelines and workload requirements
Ability to carry out manual test design and execution as required and set up a Test Automation Centre of excellence to upskill team members in test automation
