Test AnalystAPI TesterLocation - London- Combination onsite & remote working - 5-6 days per month depending on projectDuration - 6 monthsAPI TesterResponsibilities:1. Participate in discussing strategy and implementation of integration and e2e testing for components2. Collaborating with Product Owner/Analysts to help create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria and ensure the acceptance tests reflect the desired functionality.3. Evaluation of functional and non-functional requirements for testability and suitability for automation.4. Designing, Scripting, Executing test automation scenarios and documenting test results5. Increase coverage of Automation packs and pass rate in testing cycle as instructed by the Automation Lead6. Participate in release activities and giving QA sign offs7. Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary Agile teamRequirements:1. Software development and strong coding skills (preferably with Java/Spring, Python)2. Understanding of iterative style of application development3. Experience with test automation of backend/Rest API4. Deep knowledge and understanding of testing methodology5. Strong analytical skillsMUST have skills (NOT just a class room training experience) -1. Hands on experience on Core Java/Python, Maven2. Hands on experience on REST ASSURED/Karate, JUnit framework for API testing3. Hands on experience on Cucumber, BDD methodology, Gherkin syntax4. Hands on experience in any Java IDE (e.g. Eclipse/IntelliJ)5. Hands on experience on GIT, JIRA, Jenkins (CICD exposure)6. Good Understanding of REST API types (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE) an its working7. Good understanding of HTTP, JSON protocol and syntax8. Good understanding of Message Schema, RAML/OAS Specifications, Message Request-Response mechanism9. Good understanding of cloud architecture (preferably AWS)10. Good understanding of Kubernetes and Docker capabilities11. Working experience in Agile methodology / SAFe with in-sprint automation12. Strong written and verbal English communication skillsGOOD to have skills -1. Understanding of STUB/Service virtualization2. Understanding of cloud based architecture3.
