Job Description

Tenancy Management & Resettlement Officer ~We are currently working in partnership with aLocal Authorityin theCatford areawho are seeking aTenancy Management & Resettlement Officerto join theirTemporary Accommodation Team.Contract- 18 months with a view to extended into a permanent position.Full Time Hours– 35 Hours per week.Location– SE6.(Whilst the service is primarily based in Laurence House, we operate a hybrid approach whereby you will be required to work both in the office and from home as determined by service requirements)Rate of Pay- £21+ per hour – Negotiable depending on experience.Main Duties:

  • The main focus of your role is to complete discharges of duty within specific cases. Must have at least 18 months experience in completing discharge of duty assessments under Section 188 and 193 of the Housing Act.
  • You will report directly to the Temporary Accommodation Reduction Project Manager and will assist in the delivery of change projects and new ways of working.
  • Ability To Carry Out Assessments & Review Customers Details.
  • You will be an experienced Discharge of Duty Officer who has an extensive knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act and relevant legislation, guidance and case law relating to homelessness and temporary accommodation and experience with affordabilityand suitability assessments.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and substantial experience in working within a high-pressure environment.
