Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Tenancy Housing Officer to join one of Adecco Public Sectors most improved Housing Association clients in a permanent post, paying £33k per annum.The post holder will be working from our clients East London office 1-2 days each week, and expected to own a patch of approximately 400 units which will include leasehold and general needs homes. You will be expected to seek out solutions for all customerswhatever their needs and will need to be able to think independently and creatively.Covering a geographical patch in North and West London by foot/public transport (a car driver/owner is not required), this is a full time post (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and the successful candidate will also need to have knowledge of/experiencein:

  • Assisting in the delivery of the housing management service and programme as required.
  • Ensuring that the associations housing management policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Providing a range of services and advice to residents and others in housing need.
  • Liaising with a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies in delivering the housing management service.
  • Acting as mediator in all cases of resident disputes.
  • Taking relevant enforcement action where there are breaches of tenancy agreements and covenants on noise or nuisance to neighbours.
  • Implementing the associations policy on neighbour disputes and racial harassment.
  • Aiming to identify new opportunities for service development and business growth.
  • Visiting residents and estates in general to investigate and resolve various breaches of tenancy conditions and to ensure that satisfactory resolutions are achieved.
  • Undertaking property inspections and interviewing applicants and residents at the office and in their homes to implement the associations allocations and lettings policy and void management policy and procedure.
Strong customer service skills is essential, as its crucial that our clients tenants are given the right level of service. You must be a visible presence on your patch, so a willingness to be out and about during the working week is essential.
